Tana Toraja is a highland region in the Indonesian province of South Sulawesi, best known today for its exquisite Arabica coffee and as an exotic destination for cultural tourism. Toraja is situated in the northern side of South Sulawesi. In the distance, a jagged ridge or mountains stretches north to distant, isolated valleys. Piercing the tickets of bamboo and coconuts palm, on hillocks in the middle of paddies field.

Tour Itenary :

Day 01  ARRIVAL IN MAKASSAR AIRPORT/ DRIVE TO TANA TORAJA
Upon your arrival in Hasanuddin Airport of Makasar , you will be picked up by our tour guide and meeting service then drive to Tana Toraja for 8 hours passing through the Buginese villages with their typical wooden houses. Lunch will be served at a seafood restaurant in Pare-Pare. In the afternoon you will serve some drink or snack at Bambapuang café while enjoy the wonderful view of Mount Buttukabobong. At late afternoon we will arrive in Rantepao. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 02  FULL DAY TANA TORAJA TOURS
After breakfast, we drive into the mountains and visit Tinombayo where we can enjoy the spectacular view of the megalith stones spread over the extensive rice fields. Then to a burial cave of Lokomata. From Lokomata, we continue our trip to Batutumonga where we will a have short trekking, enjoy the beautiful panorama and experience a moment of the unique Torajan life style. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Rantepao. After lunch, we will visit the stone grave of Lemo with its Tau-Tau effigies. Onwards to Kambira where we can find the peculiar baby graves in the trees. Then we will explore the architecture of Tongkonan Houses in Ketekesu. Finally, we visit the tomb of Londa where we can see the entombed deceased. Back to the Hotel for dinner and overnight stay
Day 03  DRIVE BACK TO MAKASSAR / TRANSFER TO AIRPORT
After your breakfast, we drive back to Makassar with the same route and stop in Pare-Pare for having lunch at a seafood restaurant. Afternoon arrival in Makassar and directly transfer to Hasanuddin Airport Makassar to catch flight for your next destination.
